Eendracht:
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ES) - Saint Martin (FR)

21 December 2019 - 12 January 2020

Atlantic Crossing over the holidays. Do something different this Christmas season and escape the dark winter to the Atlantic! Sail across 2700 nautical miles, from one gorgeous archipelago to another. Step on board the Eendracht in the Canary Islands and set course for adventure! Spend your days learning to sail the ship, from setting sails to navigating, while having plenty of time to relax after your watch. Enjoy being disconnected from the outside world, with no mobile phone coverage or wifi. Take in beautiful sunsets, dolphins playing next to the ship and starry nights. Make new friends and get plenty of sailing experience! Finally you will reach the Caribbean, famous for the beautiful landscapes and great weather. Disembark on the French/Dutch island of Sint Maarten/Sain Martin and go back home filled with amazing new memories. For additional EUR 55 you can spend one more night on board. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a cosmopolitan town, the shared capital (with Santa Cruz) of the Canary Islands. Situated on the ‘wet’ north side, the city feels more authentic than the touristy places on the ‘dry’ south side. Las Palmas offers beaches, cheap shopping, culture and excitement with a night life, primarily in the district of Vegueta. Its culture is decidedly Spanish, mixed with influences from all over the world, as Las Palmas’ port has been in operation for centuries.

Saint Martin is a Caribbean island, divided into a Dutch part and a French part. Its warm climate will help you adjust to the pace of life on the island, but if you want to do more than sip piña coladas, you’ll find plenty to do. Visit the old fort St. Louis, overlooking Marigot bay, the French Quarter (Orleans), and Paradise Peak. Or stand at Princess Juliana Airport where you can nearly touch the planes as they fly over you. Discover the beautiful beaches of Simpson Bay and swim in the ocean.
