Eendracht:
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ES) - Sal (CV)

26 November - 16 December 2022

Youngster Sail Experience. Are you between 15 and 25 years old and enjoying a gap year or dying to get away for a few weeks? Then hop on board this unique sailing trip from Las Palmas to Cape Verde combined with island hopping Cape Verde. Guaranteed wind and pleasant temperatures, a paradise for sailors. Immerse yourself in the rich history or cross the desert on a quad bike, relax on the beach or take a dip in the intense blue sea! Various activities will also be organized on board. How about the blood-curdling murder game, or the communication game where your knowledge of the ship and your watchmates is put to the test and what about a delightful BBQ on the aft deck. If the wind permits, you can watch a movie on a beautiful evening outside on the boom. Our crew is happy to teach you everything about sailing, such as navigating on the stars, how to moor and how to tie a rope.
Open to young Windseekers aged 15-25.

Ports

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a cosmopolitan town, the shared capital (with Santa Cruz) of the Canary Islands. Situated on the ‘wet’ north side, the city feels more authentic than the touristy places on the ‘dry’ south side. Las Palmas offers beaches, cheap shopping, culture and excitement with a night life, primarily in the district of Vegueta. Its culture is decidedly Spanish, mixed with influences from all over the world, as Las Palmas’ port has been in operation for centuries.

Sal is one of the three sandy eastern islands of the Cape Verde archipelago, together with Boa Vista and Maio. The island is a dream destination for windsurfing enthusiasts, due to its sandy beaches and persistent winds. Tourism is on the rise in Cape Verde, but outside of the beach resort of Santa Maria the island retains its relaxed feel. Explore the quiet streets with their brightly colored houses, the blue eye cave, and the saline flats. The sun shines 350 days a year, so bring sunscreen!
