Eendracht:
Rouen (FR) - Bordeaux (FR)

27 June - 07 July 2027

Maritime Festivals & French Islands: From Rouen to Bordeaux. Step on board the Eendracht for an 11-day voyage along France’s magnificent Atlantic coastline. Your journey begins in Rouen, just as the final ships depart following the Armada Rouen, France’s largest gathering of tall ships. As some Armada guests will still be on board during the first part of the passage, you will travel by coach from Rouen and join the ship halfway down the river Seine. From there, you will continue under sail towards the open sea before setting course south to Bordeaux. Along the way, you will visit some of the most beautiful islands and coastal towns France has to offer, like Île d’Oléron and Île de Ré, or the historic port of La Rochelle, where a lively maritime festival takes place during this time. The voyage concludes in Bordeaux, where the city comes alive with the famous Bordeaux Fête le Vin, held alongside the festivities surrounding the start of The Tall Ships Races 2027.
Open to all Windseekers aged 15-80 (12-15 with an adult guardian).

Ports

Rouen is a city with long history located on the River Seine in Normandy, North France. It’s also the venue of L’Armada, a sailing festival which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2019. When visiting Rouen you can’t miss the Gothic Cathedral and Palais de Justice. For nature lovers the Roumare Forest just outside the city is the place to be, while art enthusiasts should visit Musee Secq des Tournelles – the wrought iron museum.

Bordeaux is famous for its wine, but the city itself also has a lot to offer. The cathedral, the Place des Quinconces and the Port de La Lune will have you gazing in amazement. The city also has a diverse cultural agenda and a bustling nightlife. To the south of the city you’ll find sandy beaches with enormous dunes that offer great surfing conditions on the waves of the Atlantic ocean. Every two years Bordeaux organizes a harbor festival, with many Tall Ships visiting.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
