Excelsior:
Løgstør (DK) - Skive (DK)

08 September - 14 September 2025

*Places at request.* Sail with Excelsior in the Limfjorden Rundt 2025, one of the Nordic region’s biggest races for wooden sailing ships. About 65 former commercial vessels join in, visiting the harbours of Løgstør, Thisted, Struer, Nykøbing Mors, Fur and Skive around the spectacular Limfjord in Denmark. Most of the participating boats are Danish, Norwegian or Swedish, so this is a brilliant opportunity to bask in Scandinavian culture and party Nordic-style in each port. Experience dreamy flat-water sailing and an incredible view of the other ships as you jostle for place in the tight fjords: it’s an experience like no other! Make international friends, experience community festivities and enjoy the scenery of one of the prettiest parts of Denmark.
This trip is recommended for trainees aged 18+ but anyone over 15 years is welcome on board.

Ports

Løgstør is a small town in northern Denmark, with close connection to the sea through its fishing heritage. Though small, the harbour is filled with life, thanks to a number of local restaurants and beautiful areas for a leisurely walk. The Limfjordsmuseet brings the local history to life, and the nearby Aggersborg Vikingeborg – a Viking fortress from 1000 years ago – makes a beautiful day trip!

Skive is a town in northwest Denmark, located at the mouth of the Karup River and the Skive Fjord, a part of the Limfjord. This picturesque town is a host to a Skive Kunstmuseum art museum, the Mønsted Limestone Caves and a 14th century Spøttrup Castle.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
