Programme Outline

The below is a planned itinerary, but keep in mind that the exact route may change depending on the weather and wind conditions! Day 1: Embark on the Ship in the Dutch port of Harlingen, get to know your fellow trainees and crew. Day 2: After a briefing on board you will hoist the sails and sail towards the island of Terschelling. Once there you can take the time to discover the harbor city and its surroundings.

Day 3: Biking around the Terschelling island - the Nethelands' most beautiful Nature Reserve. Ride your bike through forest and dune landscape along the North Sea coast. On the way you can take the time to enjoy the North Sea beach or visit a wreck museum. Day 4: You will first sail for 2-3 hours towards the Vlieland island, perhaps seeing seals on the sandbanks. After lunch it's time for another bike trip along the Wadden Sea side.

Day 5: Sailing to Texel. You will spend most of this day on the sea, taking the time to learn about sailing. Set the sails, steer and navigate before reaching your destination for the next 2 days. Days 6 and 7: Discovering Texel island by biking. Visit different places on the island, including picturesque villages and Nature Parks. On the afternoon of day 7 you will sail towards the mainland city of Den Oever.

Day 8: On your last day you will visit a dike before setting course for Harlingen. Here it's time to say goodbye to your new friends.
