DARWIN200 Global Voyage: Leg 23. Sail from Fiji to New Zealand’s Bay of Islands. Spend several days and nights out on the open sea, crossing 1000 nautical miles to your destination. Explore the backdrop of ancient kauri forests and as you glide amongst emerald isles and crystal clear waters, looking for whales, dolphins, seals and seabirds! The Bay of Isles is regarded as one of New Zealands most beautiful locations. At the end of this voyage leg, you will be perfectly placed to explore New Zealand’s North Island on your own.
There is no more Covid-19 protocol on board, but the participants must make sure that they comply with the rules of the countries visited during the Journeys.

Ports

Fiji is a nation in the Pacific Ocean comprising of 332 islands. The archipeligo is 2000km north of New Zealand, and 2700km North-East of Australia - sailing to Fiji is a truly vast undertaking. On arrival, explore the volcanic islands (The largest is Viti Levu). There's huge palm-lined beaches, coral reefs, rainforests and caves to be discovered. Learn about the local cultures by joining a kava ceremony (drink the potent dream-inducing beverage), or watch the renowned rugby team.
