Oosterschelde:
Tenerife (ES) - Palmeira (CV)

05 January - 13 January 2027

Sail from Tenerife to Cape Verde in this beautiful Atlantic journey. With following winds and currents, and plenty of sun, this route promises almost ideal sailing conditions! Help with trimming the sails, steering, and navigation – and for an extra thrill try climing the masts! The views out on the open ocean are truly breathtaking. The waters are full of wildlife, including flying fish, turtles and sometimes even whales. Before you know it, the coastline of Sal will appear on the horizon. Anchor in Palmeira Harbour and celebrate your final night with a festive meal before disembarking.
Open to Windseekers aged 18-73.

Ports

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, and a popular tourist destination. One of the largest Carnival festivals is hosted here, and for tourists there is a lot to see and do. But the island is large enough to escape mass tourism, so let its natural beauty seduce you to a hike or a drive around the island. You’ll find mountains to climb, cliffs overlooking bays, and ravines. The ‘Island of eternal spring’ is just what you need if you arrive fresh from your Journey!

Palmeira is the third-largest town in Cape Verde, situated on the island of Sal, yet it still retains that cosy small village atmosphere. When you land in Palmeira you will have just completed a crossing over the Atlantic waters. Whilst resting in Palmeira, visit some bars and restaurants to try local specialties, or explore further to desert Oases, caves and beaches.
