10 July - 16 July 2016

Join the Pelican of London and her crew for the experience. You will start in the hometown of the Pelican of London and cross the English Channel to go ore south to A Coruña. A beautiful city with a lot of history and nice restaurants and in summertime streettheather. Make new friends with trainees from all over the world and sail the ship together. For Windseekers from all ages, minimum age 16 years.

Ports

Weymouth is a state-of-the-art centre for water sports, and played host to the sailing regattas of the 2012 Olympic games. The town is a popular seaside spot with a nice beach, even though some of it is rather kitschy. Weymouth has just about the sunniest climate of the United Kingdom, further contributing to the town’s holiday feel. Weymouth is great for windsurfing, kitesurfing, diving and sailing. If you want to stretch your legs, the surrounding countryside offers many options for a hike.

A Coruña is a port town in the north west of Spain. Here you will find the Tower of Hercules, a lighthouse that has been in operation for 1.800 years! The town itself is an affluent commercial and tourism hub, with plenty of things to see and do. Visit the popular beaches, explore the city centre, or sample some of the many cultural activities. The Aquarium Finisterrae lets you explore the marine life of the region. But if you prefer your fish on a plate, A Coruña’s restaurants can help you out.
