Kingston (CA) - Windsor (CA)

05 July - 13 July 2018

In this trip the Playfair will take you from historical Kingston, on the shores of Lake Ontario, thhrough the Welland Canal, across Lake Eerie to Windsor. On the way you will have the time to explore the beautiful 1000 islands (not all of them!), and take part in a Sail Training programme. Open to young Windseekers aged 13-18 only.

Ports

Kingston is a city located on the eastern end of Lake Ontario. The city has a long military history, the evidence of which is easily visible. Take a walk and visit Fort Henry, an old fortress that was first built in 1813 and later rebuilt in 1836. They have a sunset ceremony you must see. Also visit the beautiful Sydenham Street United Church built in 1856.

Windsor, Canada, is a city in the province of Ontario, on the banks of Detroit River. It's the southernmost city of Canada. Take a stroll down the waterfront to admire local art and the skyline of Detroit, on the opposite bank of the river. Grab something to eat in one of the many place of Olde Walkerville Neighborhood and don't forge the Dieppe Gardens. For culture enthusiasts there are many museums and galleries.
