Sao Miguel in the Azores is also known as The Green Island – and for a good reason! If you love nature, hiking and taking in beautiful vistas, this is the place to visit. You can rent quads and go canyoning. There are also interesting museums and research places dedicated to the volcanic nature of the islands – visit them and you will almost certainly learn something new.
