Statsraad Lehmkuhl:
Aalborg (DK) - Bergen (NO)

02 August - 06 August 2026

Delivery from The Tall Ships Races. This voyage is perfect if you’ve taken part in one or more Tall Ships Races legs, and want to end your summer adventure at sea in style, or simply get back home to Norway in a sustainable and fun way. But it’s also ideal if you’ve been in Aalborg as a visitor and feel tempted to test out a shorter journey. Join Statsraad Lehmkuhl and leave Aalborg on Sunday afternoon and cross the Skagerrak – with sea watches, hammocks, teamwork, and shared challenges. With no phone or internet coverage at sea, it’s also a welcome digital detox, a rare chance to disconnect and be fully present in the moment. You’ll be an active and valued part of the crew, and by the end of the journey, you’ll return with unique experiences, new friendships, and perhaps even new insights about yourself.
The journey begins a day after disembarkation from Race 3, but you can buy an additional night on board (€ 85 per night, breakfast included).
Open to Windseekers aged 15-70.
Important: You need to have a valid passport to sail on board (an ID is not sufficient).

Ports

Aalborg has shared a special connection with The Tall Ships Races since first hosting the event in 1999. Located on the Limfjord, the city was founded by Vikings over a thousand years ago and still proudly showcases its historic roots. Today, Aalborg is a modern, vibrant city with a rich cultural scene – home to theatres, a symphony orchestra, museums, and performance venues. It’s the perfect place to relax and reflect after an unforgettable sailing adventure.

Bergen is the gateway to the Fjords of Norway and a well-established cruise port. It’s an international city packed with history and tradition, a big city with small-town charm and atmosphere. Stroll around old streets and alleyways, and mingle with the crowds at the Fish Market. Saunter along the listed wooden buildings at Bryggen to the old fortress at Bergenhus, or call in at one of Bergen’s museums and galleries. The panoramic views of the city, the fjord and the ocean are breathtaking.

OTHER JOURNEYS YOU MIGHT LIKE

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
