Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta

The Rendez-Vous Tall Ships Regatta is a transatlantic sailing event organized to celebrate the 150^th anniversary of of the Canadian Confederation. The Tall Ships flotilla will start their journey in Royal Greenwich, sail on to Portugal, to embark on a transatlantic race to Bermuda, where they will meet the crews of the 35^th America’s Cup. After big festival, the Ships will sail on to Boston and from there to Canada where a rich outport program is prepared. The final race will take place from Halifax to Le Havre, France.

During the Regatta you can make around 7,000 nautical miles, on one of about 40 vessels, visit 6 countries on 2 continents – all during 5 months of sailing, competitions, festivals and celebrations.

Expect some very competitive sailing, two transatlantic legs, big festivals in ports, warm welcome in smaller harbours and thousands of young people from all over the world to make friends with!
