* Last places: contact info@windseeker.org to confirm availability * Course: Greenland! This three-weeks journey will take you on a great sailing adventure! Starting in Isafjordur, Iceland, you will cross the Atlantic towards the south of Greenland. Once you make your way around the drift ice, you will be rewarded by breathtaking views of southern Greenland. It is expected that you will have plenty of time to discover the local fjords as well as the largest town of Nuuk. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Isafjordur (meaning ‘fjord of ice’) is a small port town in the northwest of Iceland. It is a major access point to the nature reserve on the Hornstrandir Peninsula, an uninhabited wilderness area to which ferries run weekly during summer. Despite its small population of 2600 people, the town has a relatively urban feel. It is considered a centre for alternative music and there’s even a hospital. Have a look around in the Maritime museum or go for a tour of the waterfalls and the nearby fjords.

Nuuk is the capital of Greenland and, with over 17,000 inhabitants its largest city. The earliest settlements date back to 2200 BC. In the 10th century Nuuk was inhabited by the Vikings and shortly after by Innuit people. Visit the Greenland National Museum and Archives, Katuaq Cultural Centre, Nuuk Art Museum and the Cathedral, and enjoy strolling around town and taking in its unique architecture.
