Eye of the Wind:
Elsfleth (DE) - Hamburg (DE)

19 April - 04 May 2017

“Rolling Home”: The North Sea and the River Elbe. Join the Eye of the Wind for a unique trip, sailing to her first homeport in Hamburg (1911-1916). Sail across the North Sea to the offshore island of Helgoland until you reach lively Hamburg with the second-busiest ports in Europe! Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Elsfleth is a small town in Lower Saxony, Germany. The town has many maritime traditions, the evidence of which you may find visiting the tall ship club “Großherzogin Elisabeth”, sailing club “SWE” and a school of navigation.

Hamburg is Germany’s second-largest city and home to Europe’s second-largest port, a major attraction with its canals, bridges, historic architecture, and the Museumshafen Oevelgönne. Highlights include the Miniatur Wunderland model railway, a walk through the tunnel beneath the Elbe, and the Speicherstadt district, while nature lovers can enjoy the zoo or the Planten un Blomen park.
