A summer break. Join the clipper Stad Amsterdam for a short trip from London to Ostend in Belgium. Board this magnificent Tall Ship near the Tower of London and listen to safety instructions before sailing out to cross the English Channel. Perhaps you can book a hotel and spend a weekend in London before boarding Stad Amsterdam and sailing down the Thames. Open for all ages, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

London is a centre for business, finance, the arts and tourism. As such, the city has something to offer for everyone. But visiting London by ship makes the experience extra special. Go see a play in West End, explore Soho, or take a tourist bus for a sightseeing ride. Go to Hyde Park, close to Buckingham Palace, if the city bustle is a bit much after an ocean voyage. And work on your cultural karma by visiting a few of the many museums. London is so big you’ll need to revisit to see it all!

Ostend (Oostende in Flemish) is a seaport and tourist destination on the Belgian coast. The original belle époque architecture was largely destroyed by two world wars, but the city still has plenty of worthwhile sights to see, such as the Mu.ZEE, the Petrus and Paulus church, and the fort Napolean. Visit one of the museums, check out the lively cultural agenda, and step in a Belgian tavern for a ‘pinteke’. And don’t forget the beach, which can be crowded in the summer!
