Eendracht:
Rotterdam (NL) - Vlissingen (NL)

27 August - 30 August 2019

Eendracht 30 years – Anniversary sailing trip. This is a unique opportunity to celebrate the Eendracht’s birthday together with her crew and captain. Join the ship for a short sailing break in late summer and sail to Vlissingen in the south of the Netherlands. A short trip like this is perfect for anyone who wants to get their first taste of sail training, but also for returning trainees who want to wish Eendracht a Happy Birthday. On board you will be a trainee, actively taking part in all activities, togeher with the crew. If the weather permits, you will visit one other port along the way – you will just have to wait and see where the winds take you! Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle or on foot – or take a train to the nearby Hague.

Vlissingen is a port town in the southwest of Netherlands, dating back to the 7th century when it was first established as a fishing village. Notably, Vlissingen has the longest seafront promenade in the Netherlands, where you can take a long walk and enjoy the multiple historical monuments along the way. When you’ve had enough of walking, visit the Maritime muZEEum with its interactive exhibits and passionate staff. Wherever you end up, enjoy the atmosphere of a 14-centuries old seaside town.
