Oosterschelde:
Valparaiso (CL) - Callao (PE)

12 March - 23 March 2024

DARWIN200 Global Voyage: Leg 13. Sail north with views across the Atacama Desert, famed for some of the most unearthly scenery in South America. Land at remote fishing villages, spot sea birds and sea lions in a virtually untouched ecosystem and reach the historic seaport to Callao and adjacent Lima, both troves of history from Spanish colonial times. This voyage leg allows you to really get off the beaten track and see parts of Chile few visitors ever get to experience!
There is no more Covid-19 protocol on board, but the participants must make sure that they comply with the rules of the countries visited during the Journeys.

Ports

Valparaiso is one of Chile's largest cities, famous for its culture and architecture. Known as the "Jewel of the Pacific" Valparaiso is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Taste fresh seafood in Caleta Portales, take the elevator up the Cerro Concepcion for beautiful views and visit the home of Pablo Neruda. Stroll through the city enjoying the street art and bohemian atmosphere. You can also take a day trip to a nearby beach and the maritime museum for a dose of Chilean naval history.
