The Tall Ships Races 2024: Race 1. Join Patricia for an adventurous journey from Lithuania to Finland. Step on board and roll up your sleeves because Patricia sails to win! Set the sails, steer, navigate, sailing day and night to round the waypoints and reach the finish line. Admire the unforgettable sunsets at sea, and spend the night watches looking at the stars without the light pollution. Enjoy the digital detox, and the feeling of being out on the sea. Reach Finland’s capital city Helsinki and spend the last two days on board in the harbour, participating in crew-exclusive events and making friends from other vessels.

Ports

Klaipéda is a city in Lithuania on the Baltic Sea coast. The city has long maritime traditions - it even hosts its own Sea Festival in July! - and its architecture bears influences from several different cultures (French, German, Swedish). Take a walk down the Friedricho pasažas, visit the reconstructed Meridianas ship, find the quirky Golden Mouse sculpture and visit the Clock Museum.

Helsinki is the capital city of Finland with a population of about 600,000 people. It has been established in 1550. Take a ferry to visit the Fortress of Suomenlinna or the Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum. If you prefer to stay on the mainland you can't miss the Rock Church - literally built into rocks. Other attractions include the Esplanadi Park, Hakaniemi Market and lots of museum. Fans of architecture cannot miss the Finnish National Theater and the Lutheran Chathedral.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
