Reykjavik (IS) - Faroe Islands (FO) - Harlingen (NL)

06 October - 28 October 2027

Set sail for the Faroe islands, Shetland, Orkneys and Terschelling. Join a journey through time following the ancient navigators; a cultural and natural voyage, a great combination of historical sites and rare wild live. Standing stones and spitting geysers, golden eagles, otters and arctic foxes, they’re all part of the places you’ll visit. Leave Reykjavik for the Westman Islands, a large puffin colony, before crossing over to the Faroe Islands. Experience the real Atlantic sailing as you split up in watches and sail towards this remote group of 18 islands, home to some of the world’s most amazing views. Visit Torshavn, the capital of the Faroes, then sail on to explore the magnificent fjords, highest cliffs in Europe and viking excavation sites. The next 190 nautical miles of sea crossing will bring you to Lerwick in the Shetland, a good base from where to start exploring the islands, full of amazing wildlife. Continue to the Orkneys, visiting yet another set of wonderful sites before crossing the North Sea to the Netherlands. Stop in the Wadden Islands, before finishing this amazing voyage in Harlingen.
Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Reykjavík is the capital of Iceland. As you approach from the sea, you’ll sea a modern city skyline with snowy volcanic mountains in the background. Reykjavík is quite cosmopolitan, with plenty of culture and entertainment. Go for a night on the town, or find a tour that takes you to see the glaciers, geysers, and volcanoes for which Iceland is famous. Reykjavík’s climate is less cold than you’d expect. At Nauthólsvík you’ll even find a geothermically heated beach!

Harlingen is a historic trade and fishing port in Friesland, the Netherlands, with roots going back over a thousand years. Its charming old town features well-preserved streets and buildings, perfect for exploring on foot. Despite its small size, Harlingen has a lively atmosphere and was a proud port of call for the Tall Ships Races in 2022. With its gezellig pubs and welcoming vibe, Harlingen is an ideal stopover for any traveler.
