Explore the Canary Islands with Santa Maria Manuela. The voyage begins in Tenerife and it offers plenty of chances to engage with traditional sailing, including hoisting the sails and learning classic maritime skills from our experienced crew. As you sail toward La Gomera, the ship provides a tranquil setting to enjoy the natural beauty of the Atlantic. In La Gomera, you’ll discover dramatic ravines and peaceful, unspoiled villages. The island is a serene stopover where you can explore its quiet charm, far removed from busy tourist hubs. After exploring for a bit, you’ll make your way back to Tenerife, with Mount Teide dominating the horizon, offering a magnificent sight as you approach. The journey ends in Santa Cruz, where you’ll disembark amidst the island’s impressive coastline. Whether you’ve enjoyed the thrill of sailing or taken in the peaceful ocean views, this voyage offers an unforgettable experience of the Canary Islands.
For Windseekers aged 14-80 years (trainees younger than 18 have to be accompanied by an adult).

Ports

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, and a popular tourist destination. One of the largest Carnival festivals is hosted here, and for tourists there is a lot to see and do. But the island is large enough to escape mass tourism, so let its natural beauty seduce you to a hike or a drive around the island. You’ll find mountains to climb, cliffs overlooking bays, and ravines. The ‘Island of eternal spring’ is just what you need if you arrive fresh from your Journey!

La Palma is one of the Canary Islands archipelago on the Atlantic. The island’s volcanic landscapes, lush tropical nature and rich wildlife make it a perfect spot for hiking adventures! Climb the Teneguia Volcano for amazing views, or visit the Caldera de Taburiente National Park. Take a walk along the Balcones de la avenida Maritima and visit the Maritime Museum with its replica of the ship sailed by Christopher Columbus.

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

 

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee.
