Arendal (NO) - Arendal (NO)

30 April - 03 May 2015

Cram a whole adventure into one long weekend! Join Sorlandet for a short Sail Training journey off the Nordic coast. You’ll be in a watch system, so at night you have the deck to yourself as you sail under the stars – a magical experience! Help set and trim the sails, do odd jobs on deck and below, help to keep the ship clean, and learn about navigation. This Sail Training voyage is ideal to find out whether life at sea is something for you. Challenging enough to test your boundaries, short enough to fit in your schedule. Open to all ages, minimum age 14 years. – Open to all ages, minimum age 12 years. Age 12-15 year accompanied by an adult / parent.

Ports

Arendal is a medium-sized town in the south of Norway. Its old city centre still retains wooden houses, dating back to the 17th century. The old harbor is called Pollen, and this is where you will find the fish market, cafes and restaurants. The surrounding countryside is hilly and green, and offers beautiful vistas over the islands and waterways nearby. Should you arrive in the summer, be sure to check is you’re on time for the annual jazz and blues festival!
