Eendracht:
Rotterdam (NL) - Rouen (FR)

10 June - 17 June 2027

From Rotterdam to Rouen – Join the Spectacular Sail-In. This trip will take you from Rotterdam to Rouen, and allow you to take part in the Armada Rouen Sail-In, a beautiful tall ships parade. Departing from Rotterdam, you will enter the North Sea and sail towards the English Channel. There, the Eendracht will follow the French coastline south, eventually reaching the mouth of the famous Seine. From there begins perhaps the most memorable part of the voyage: the long passage upriver to Rouen, where thousands of spectators will line the riverbanks to welcome the international fleet of tall ships. Step on board to sail day and night, stand watch, and work alongside the professional crew to navigate the ship safely to Rouen. The reward? An arrival you’ll never forget.
Open to all Windseekers aged 15-80 (12-15 with an adult guardian).

Ports

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle or on foot – or take a train to the nearby Hague.

Rouen is a city with long history located on the River Seine in Normandy, North France. It’s also the venue of L’Armada, a sailing festival which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2019. When visiting Rouen you can’t miss the Gothic Cathedral and Palais de Justice. For nature lovers the Roumare Forest just outside the city is the place to be, while art enthusiasts should visit Musee Secq des Tournelles – the wrought iron museum.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
