Come aboard the Alexander von Humboldt II to enjoy the sunny Canary Islands in the middle of winter! Discover the local culture and make use of good winds for which the region is known. Explore the tropical nature with beautiful forests and crystal-clear water. Look carefully and you might some dolphins and even whales. On board you participate in the daily working of the ship alongside professional seamen, standing lookout, manning the helm, helping in the galley, hoisting sail and voluntarily have the chance to climb the rigging/mast. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a cosmopolitan town, the shared capital (with Santa Cruz) of the Canary Islands. Situated on the ‘wet’ north side, the city feels more authentic than the touristy places on the ‘dry’ south side. Las Palmas offers beaches, cheap shopping, culture and excitement with a night life, primarily in the district of Vegueta. Its culture is decidedly Spanish, mixed with influences from all over the world, as Las Palmas’ port has been in operation for centuries.
