Atyla:
Brixham (GB) - Plymouth (GB)

01 May - 07 May 2023

From Brixham Pirates to Plymouth Pirates. Sail the English Channel from one pirate festival to another on board the Tall Ship Atyla. The sailing will include a mix of open sea, potentially the French coast, and maybe anchoring at Channel Islands. All depending on the winds – such is a sailor’s life! You will reach Plymouth with two days left on board to dress like a pirate and enjoy the festival activities!
Open to all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years. Sail as a trainee for a full Tall Ship experience and participate in all activities on board as part of the (trainee) crew (including in ports). Or join as a guest and choose which activities you want to take part in.

Ports

Brixham is a fishing town in Devon, south-west England, famous for its annual Pirate Festival. The Brixham harbour is very picturesque, and a wonderful place for a walk. Grab some fish&chips and go exploring! Visit the Golden Hind Museum Ship, the replica of Francis Drake's famous vessel, and the Heritage Museum to learn about local history. Afterwards relax on the Breakwater Beach, or - if you'd rather stretch your legs - take a walk to Berry Head National Nature Reserve and admire the views.

Plymouth is a coastal city in the south of England. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts it is located near beautiful beaches and national park in Dartmoor. The city has a rich cultural life, with numerous art exhibitions and events. The National Marine Aquarium is the largest in the UK and offers a unique glimpse into marine world.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
