Bark Europa:
Tahiti (PF) - Cook Islands (CK)

24 August - 11 September 2026

An island-to-island voyage through the heart of Polynesia, linking French Polynesia’s Society Islands with the Cook Islands under trade winds. This 19-day sailing adventure from Papeete to Rarotonga carries you across the storied heart of Polynesia. Under sun-warmed sails, Bark Europa sails westward on the trade winds, linking turquoise lagoons and emerald volcanic isles as you sail from Tahiti to the Cook Islands. This voyage promises both poetic discovery and hands-on seamanship. Join a small crew of adventurers and experience the South Pacific as explorers of old – by wind, wave, and wonder.
Open to Windseekers aged 15-72.

Ports

Tahiti is the biggest island as well as the cultural, and political centre of French Polynesia, and home to the state’s capital in Papeete. Spend a lovely day on a beach (white- or black-sanded!) Admire pearls and learn about their cultural history in the Robert Wan Pearl Museum. Take a stroll through the Papeete Municipal Market for a taste of local life and have a picnic in Paofai Gardens waterfront park.

Cook Islands is an island country in the Pacific Ocean, and an associated state of New Zealand. With the population of about 20,000 people and 100,000 visitors each year Cook Islands’ main income comes from tourism. Relax on one of the many beautiful beaches and lagoons, challenge yourself by climbing Te Rua Manga or take a stroll in the shades of Maire Nui Botanical Gardens. For full immersion in the local culture take part in Sunday service at the Christian Church – in Maori language.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
