Bark Europa:
Puerto Natales (CL) - Valparaiso (CL)

28 March - 09 April 2020

Sailing voyage on the ocean to the ‘Pearl of the Pacific’. Sail north with the Humboldt Current, along the coast of Chile. Spend about 2 weeks exploring the country, with its rich wildlife and stunning landscapes. Learn all about setting and taking away the sails, climb in the rigging to furl or unfurl the sails and learn how to trim the sails to the direction of the wind. Look out at the horizon – if you’re lucky, you might see some whales who like to feed in these waters. Arrive in Valparaiso, a bohemian and colourful world heritage city that has long inspired poets and writers. Open to Windseekers of 15 years and older. Limited places in 2-person cabins – contact us to confirm availability.

Ports

Puerto Natales is a Patagonian city in southern Chile. Located next to the Torres del Paine National Park and the Patagonian fjords it is a great tourist destination for those who like outdoor adventures. Spend a day exploring the surrounding nature by bike, or join a kayaking excursion. Visit the Nao Victoria Museum in nearby Punta Arenas or enjoy a leisurely meal in one of the local restaurants.

Valparaiso is one of Chile's largest cities, famous for its culture and architecture. Known as the "Jewel of the Pacific" Valparaiso is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Taste fresh seafood in Caleta Portales, take the elevator up the Cerro Concepcion for beautiful views and visit the home of Pablo Neruda. Stroll through the city enjoying the street art and bohemian atmosphere. You can also take a day trip to a nearby beach and the maritime museum for a dose of Chilean naval history.
