Highlands, Islands and The Western Isles. Join Blue Clipper for the expedition to the outer Hebrides and St Kilda. The 12 nights on board will give more opportunity to visit the Outer Hebrides island chain, and possibly even the remote archipelago of St Kilda; known as the Islands at the End of the World (weather permitting). This journey is one of exploration, giving you the chance to discover small anchorages, beautiful beaches, sunsets on the sea and starry skies above. It’s a perfect brake from a busy life, allowing you to disconnect and spend time out in nature, or making new friends on board. For Windseekers aged 15+ (ages 9-15 accompanied by a guardian at request).

Ports

Mallaig is a fishing port in the Scottish Highlands. The picturesque West Highland railway line links Mallaig with Glasgow and with beautiful vistas it is an attraction in itself. From the port you can take a ferry to the popular destination Isle of Skye, as well as other nearby islands. Visit the Mallaig Heritage Centre or take a walk outside of the village and admire the surrounding nature.

Ullapool, despite its small size is the largest settlement for many miles around and a major tourist destination of Scotland. The village was founded in 1788 as a herring port by the British Fisheries Society. A few Cordyline australis or New Zealand cabbage trees are grown in the town and are often mistaken for palms. The harbour is still the edge of the village, used as a fishing port, yachting haven, and ferry port. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings here.

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

 

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee.
