Join an unforgettable youth journey, sailing the Eendracht on the Atlantic from Spain to the Netherlands. Step on board in Bilbao and experience an unforgettable twelve-day sailing adventure to Rotterdam. Cross the Bay of Biscay, sail the English Channel, stand watch beneath a sky full of stars, to discover what life at sea is really like. Join other young people in becoming part of the trainee crew. Take the helm, navigate, handle the sails and stand watch during longer offshore passages. No previous sailing experience is required: just enthusiasm, curiosity and a spirit of adventure. Challenge yourself, make lasting friendships and discover just how much you’re capable of.
Open to young Windseekers aged 15-25.

Ports

Bilbao is a port in the northern tip of the Iberian peninsula, founded in the 14th century. Later on it became an important commercial hub for the Basque region. Today, Bilbao is a vigorous service city. The iconic Bilbao Guggenheim museum is a must-see. Also take some time to walk around the city centre and visit the Exteberria Park. Around the city you can do many outdoor activities such as rock climbing, hiking and surfing.

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle or on foot – or take a train to the nearby Hague.

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

 

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee.
