Harlingen (NL) - Rotterdam (NL)

09 August - 11 August 2019

Weekend microadventure on board. For this short voyage you don’t even need to take any holidays from work! Join the Eendracht’s crew on Friday evening in Harlingen for a weekend sail back to the Ship’s homeport in Rotterdam. You will spend two days and nights participating in the watch system, together with the professional crew sailing the Eendracht along the coast of the Netherlands. This short trip is a perfect taster for anyone who can’t decide whether sailing is for them. It’s also a great adventure for any sailors who can’t find the time for a longer journey but want to enjoy sailing even for a short time. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Harlingen is a historic trade and fishing port in Friesland, the Netherlands, with roots going back over a thousand years. Its charming old town features well-preserved streets and buildings, perfect for exploring on foot. Despite its small size, Harlingen has a lively atmosphere and was a proud port of call for the Tall Ships Races in 2022. With its gezellig pubs and welcoming vibe, Harlingen is an ideal stopover for any traveler.

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle or on foot – or take a train to the nearby Hague.
