Eendracht:
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ES) - Mindelo (CV)

05 January - 14 January 2017

SPECIAL OFFER: SECOND PERSON FOR FREE! Are you a true sailing enthusiast and prefer to sail while enjoying a beautiful setting with the sun? Step aboard the Eendracht in Las Palmas, where our hospitable crew awaits you with coffee and tea. After setting up the cabin, explanation of the crew and a dinner you will need some sleep before the journey begins, because this is an active sailing trip! The next morning, the sails will be put together and the watch system of ‘4 hours on and 8 hours off’ will enter into force. This will keep the ship running day and night time. We will head towards Cape Verde to the isle Sao Vicente. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a cosmopolitan town, the shared capital (with Santa Cruz) of the Canary Islands. Situated on the ‘wet’ north side, the city feels more authentic than the touristy places on the ‘dry’ south side. Las Palmas offers beaches, cheap shopping, culture and excitement with a night life, primarily in the district of Vegueta. Its culture is decidedly Spanish, mixed with influences from all over the world, as Las Palmas’ port has been in operation for centuries.

Mindelo is a city on the island of São Vicente in the Cape Verde archipelago. It was founded by the Portugese in the late XVIII century. Visit Centro Cultural do Mindelo and see the Bronzestatue Diogo Alfonso with its interesting history. Visit one of the numerous small cafes for a seafood meal, coffee or a glass of wine. If you’re looking for something more active try kitesurfing – the conditions are perfect in Cape Verde!
