Sailing taster! Spend late August weekend on board of a three-masted schooner. Step aboard Friday morning in the Eendracht’s home port of Rotterdam. After introductions and instructions you will put up the sails with and leave the port. Join the professional crew in a watch system where you will be 4 hours on and 8 hours off. During the watch you will working with the sails, steer, navigate or take one of many other important jobs. After the watch there’s plenty of time to relax and enjoy the sea! Sailing experience is not necessary as the crew will guide you through the tasks. In fact, this is a perfect short trip for newbies who want to figure out if sailing is for them. On Sunday, at the end of the day you disembark in the port of Rotterdam. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle or on foot – or take a train to the nearby Hague.
