Eye of the Wind:
Rotterdam (NL) - A Coruña (ES)

27 November - 08 December 2016

The Celtic Sea and the Gulf of Biscay. Sail the Atlantic Ocean with its fresh breeze to escape the dreary autumn. Take a journey to sunny Spain and prolong your stay for a few days of vacation. This tour is discounted, because you’ll be sailing day and night at some point and won’t have that many stops in port, so if you’re looking for the most sailing time, it’s the journey for you! Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle and go for a coffee in Hotel New York, the former headquarters of the Holland America Line.

A Coruña is a port town in the north west of Spain. Here you will find the Tower of Hercules, a lighthouse that has been in operation for 1.800 years! The town itself is an affluent commercial and tourism hub, with plenty of things to see and do. Visit the popular beaches, explore the city centre, or sample some of the many cultural activities. The Aquarium Finisterrae lets you explore the marine life of the region. But if you prefer your fish on a plate, A Coruña’s restaurants can help you out.
