Join the Morgenster and her crew for the experience of a lifetime, for the North Sea Tall Ships Regatta 2016. The regatta will start at the 29th of August and will be approximately 500 nautical miles. Learn the ropes, cross the finish line and enjoy a Journey you will never forget! In Gothenburg you will be welcomed with an epic crew party and crewparty. 2016 is a special year for Tall Ships events. The Tall Ships Races 2016 will be celebrating a diamond anniversary as it will be sixty years since the first Tall Ships race in 1956. And the North Sea Tall Ships Regatta will be held for only the second time in six years – so we are particularly pleased that the Thalassa will be visiting two excellent, but contrasting ports. Only places left in 2 beds cabin and 2 places in hammock 750 EUR. Open to Windseekers of all ages, minium age 15 years.
Blyth is a town in southeast Northumberland, England. On the coast, to the south of the River Blyth, where its name comes from. The main industries were coal mining and shipbuilding, with the salt trade, fishing and the railways also playing an role. Today, the port handles up to 1.5 million tonnes of cargo. Walk over the quayside or go to the beach. Visit the market place. The lighthouse “ High Light”, was built in 3 stages; 10,66m in 1788; in 1888 4,26m was added and the final 3,82 m in 1900.
Situated by the Kattegat Gothenburg is the second-largest city in Sweden. With the largest port in the Nordic countries. Due to its two universities, there are many students. Have a walk over the boulevard Kungsportsavenyn (known as Avenyn, "The Avenue"). Visit a museum or Liseberg, the largest amusement park in Scandinavia. Go to Haga district for its picturesque wooden houses and its well-known Haga bulle (cinnamon roll). Go to one of the parks or the famous Southern Gothenburg Archipelago.
