Oosterschelde:
Camaret-sur-Mer (FR) - Hellevoetsluis (NL)

23 September - 02 October 2026

Join the voyage from Camaret-sur-Mer to Hellevoetsluis and discover the French, English, Belgian, and Dutch coasts under sail. Set course north along the beautiful, rugged coasts of Brittany and Normandy. As part of the crew, you will take part in the watch system, helping to hoist, trim, and take down the sails, learning to navigate and steer. As you won’t be in a hurry, there is a good chance you’ll make a stop along the way in a French, English, or Belgian coastal town. Before long, the Dutch coast will appear on the horizon. Through the Slijkgat channel, you will make your way to the lock at Stellendam. Enjoy the final afternoon of sailing on the Haringvliet before mooring in the harbour of the fortified town of Hellevoetsluis. Here, on 2 October, you say goodbye to the ship and crew after breakfast.
Open to all Windseekers aged 18+. Younger trainees, accompanied by an adult, at request.

Ports

Camaret-sur-Mer is a commune in Brittany, France, and home to the Golden Tower – a UNESCO World Heritage Site fortification guarding its harbour. Stretch your sea legs and take a hike to Pointe de Pen-Hir for amazing views of the Corozon Peninsula and its dramatic coastline, or see L’Arche de Camaret memorial for sailors who have been lost at sea. You can also relax on the sandy beach, or take a walk through town to enjoy its historical buildings.

Hellevoetsluis is a Dutch town located on the Haringvliet inlet of the North Sea. With the sea, beach, and dunes close by, it is a beautiful area to explore. Its maritime traditions are visible everywhere, from the museum ships to the lighthouse and fortifications, while the charming port provides safe haven for all sailors.
