Oosterschelde:
Palmeira (CV) - Palmeira (CV)

19 February - 02 March 2027

Discover the Cape Verde Islands with a historic tall ship. The sailing trips with Oosterschelde offer a mix of active but comfortable sailing and discovering at least six islands in the archipelago. Every day of ocean sailing will be followed by a full day on one of the islands, where you can choose to join an organised excursion or explore on your own. During the sailing, you’ll be invited to help with all the activities on board, like hoisting the sails, steering and navigating. Beautiful weather and the tradewinds make this a perfect area for sailing, while local waters are full of wildlife. The diverse landscapes consist of steep terrace fields with bananas and coffee plantations, sand deserts, black volcanos and a fierce deep blue ocean. This is a winter holiday to remember!
The excursions on shore are optional, and not included in the Journey price. The estimated cost of joining all of the excursions is € 240 per person.
Open to all Windseekers aged 18+. Younger trainees, accompanied by an adult, at request.

Ports

Palmeira is the third-largest town in Cape Verde, situated on the island of Sal, yet it still retains that cosy small village atmosphere. When you land in Palmeira you will have just completed a crossing over the Atlantic waters. Whilst resting in Palmeira, visit some bars and restaurants to try local specialties, or explore further to desert Oases, caves and beaches.
