Santa Maria Manuela:
Funchal, Madeira (PT) - La Gomera (ES) - Tenerife (ES)

10 November - 15 November 2023

This voyage will take you from the semi tropical island of Madeira to the rugged island of Tenerife, stopping to swim in the clear blue waters of La Gomera, the magical, hidden gem of the Canaries. Set sail on this iconic ocean voyage from Funchal, stopping at the Ilhas Selvagens marine park. If the weather and sea state allow, you may have the opportunity to go ashore. Then embark on a 285 nm ocean crossing to Canary Islands. During this open ocean voyage you may find it impossible not to be captivated by the beauty and power of the ocean. Join a citizen’s science project with Waste Free Oceans, collecting the water samples from the Atlantic. After the crossing, you will anchor off the beautiful island of La Gomera with its palm-filled valleys, deep ravines, black sand beaches, crystal-clear waters and magical forests, before sailing the final leg to disembark in Santa Cruz, Tenerife.
NOTE: When planning flights please bear in mind that we are granted no flexibility for the embarkation and disembarkation times from the customs authorities.
For Windseekers aged 14-80 years (trainees younger than 18 have to be accompanied by an adult).
Different cabins available: contact info@windseeker.org to enquire.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
