Terceira (PT) - Pico (PT) - Terceira (PT)

20 July - 27 July 2023

*Now 30% off for shared cabin: € 906 instead of € 1295* Azores Island Hopping. Step on board Santa Maria Manuela in Terceira for a beautiful journey around the Azores. If the weather is good, you will be able to stop on quiet anchorages around the central islands and to sail up the São Jorge Channel which offers the chance to look for whales. Next on the itinerary is Pico Island, home to Portugal’s highest mountain, Mount Pico (2,351 m). The climb to the top is tiring, but rewarded by panoramic views which, on a clear day, offer a glimpse of the nearby islands. (A prebooked guide and good fitness are required to climb Pico.) If you don’t feel like hiking, you can instead spend the day trying the internationally-celebrated local wine. Next, a stop on Faial offers the chance to visit Horta and its famous Peter’s Café Sport bar frequented by sailors since 1918. Stroll in the marina and marvel at the centuries’ old art created by crews crossing the Atlantic from America to Europe. Finish the island hopping back on Terceira, docking in UNESCO-listed Angra do Heroísmo, the Azores’ oldest city, with its 16th-century fortress and Renaissance town.
For Windseekers aged 14-80 years (trainees younger than 18 have to be accompanied by an adult).

OTHER JOURNEYS YOU MIGHT LIKE

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
