Brisbane (AU) - Denpasar (ID)

02 September - 25 September 2024

Spend over three weeks on board Clipper Stad Amsterdam, sailing from Australia to Bali. Start your voyage in Brisbane, navigating through the waters of the Coral Sea outside the Great Barrier Reef towards the Indonesian city of Denpasar. Embrace the serenity and expansiveness of the Coral Sea and the Indonesian waters as the experienced crew guides you towards your destination..Marvel at the deep blue waters and the vastness of the ocean while sailing through the Coral Sea. The open-sea route provides a unique perspective, allowing you to appreciate the beauty of the sea and the sky as you venture towards the Indonesian archipelago. In September, prevailing winds in the Coral Sea can be influenced by the southeast trade winds. These winds may provide favourable conditions for sailing towards the northwest, guiding Stad Amsterdam on its course to Denpasar. The Coral Sea is known for its relatively stable sea conditions, providing a smooth sailing experience.
Make sure to check entry requirements (visas, vaccinations) for each visited country for your nationality.

Ports

Brisbane is one of Australia's oldest and largest cities. It's situated on the east coast inside a peninsula of the Brisbane River, at the Coral Sea. Visit a Koala Sanctuary then take in the views from Mount Coot-tha Lookout spot or the Story Bridge. You can spend a relaxing day on the beach or visit the Queensland Art Gallery & Gallery of Modern Art to see the works of art from Australia, Asia and the Pacific. No matter your interests, you are sure to find something to do in Brisbane!

Denpasar is an city in the south of the Indonesian island Bali. Located just south of the equator, it has a tropical savanna climate. Visit the Turtle Conservation and Education Centre on a nearby island of Serangan or a Luwak Coffee Bali Plantation, then stroll down a promenade at Sanur Beach. Learn about local history at Bajra Sandhi Monument and end the day by trying some of the amazing local specialties

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
