Navigating through the archipelago, you will have the opportunity to marvel at the beauty of the landscapes and catch glimpses of traditional villages along the coast. The final stretch will bring you to Sorong, a bustling port town. The excitement peaks as Stad Amsterdam docks, and you disembark to explore the charm of Raja Ampat. The coral reefs, exotic wildlife, and warm hospitality will create lasting memories. Throughout this entire journey, you’ll experience the ebb and flow of life at sea. The crew’s camaraderie, the ever-changing scenery, and the sense of exploration will make this sailing passage from Hong Kong to Sorong on the Clipper an extraordinary adventure.

Make sure to check entry requirements (visas, vaccinations) for each visited country for your nationality.

Hong Kong is a bustling city and a special administrative region in China. Visit Victoria Peak for stunning views over the city, take a relaxing walk in Nan Lian Garden, or take a cable car to Lantau Island. Of course, the Victoria Harbour is an iconic attraction in itself!

Sorong is an Indonesian city on the island of New Guinea. Filled with different cultures and surrounded by beautiful national parks, this vibrant city is a popular tourist destination for those who like to explore new places, like the stunningly beautiful Raja Ampat Islands.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
