Twister:
Paramaribo (SR) - Grenada (GD)

25 February - 05 March 2025

The ship is moored at Paramaribo, time to get on board. Set sail towards Nieuw Nickerie and spend some time exploring the area before embarking on a crossing to the Caribbean. The journey to Tobago takes 2-3 days. This former pirates’ nest has a lot to offer! The north shore boasts beautiful palm beaches and lone bays where you are likely to be the only anchored ship. The south shore lays claim to one of the most beautiful diving and snorkelling spots of the Caribbean: the Buccoo Reef. Before sailing on to Grenada, you might visit the uninhabited islands east of Tobago, time permitting. The sail to Grenada takes about 10 hours. The island is largely covered by tropical rainforest and surrounded by a wealth of tropical fish and shipwrecks, making it a diving and snorkelling paradise.
Open to all Windseekers, trainees younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult (please note that this is not a youth voyage and we expect a big variety of ages on board). Meals on board are vegetarian, but you can indicate if you would like to have the occasional fish or meat dish on the menu.

Ports

Paramaribo is the capital city of Suriname, at the northern coast of South America. Visit the busy Central Market for a local atmosphere and Saint Peter & Paul Cathedral-Basilica, Neveh Shalom Synagogue or the Suriname Mosque for must-see architectural attractions. Then stroll down the Blaugrond street and grab some delicious food in one of the many lively restaurants.

Grenada is an island-state composed of a main island, Grenada, and six smaller islands. Located in the Southeastern Caribbean Sea it hosts more than a hundred thousand inhabitants. The capital city, Saint George's, is surrounded by a hillside of an old volcano crater and a pretty big harbor. Those islands are well known tourist destinations because of the beautiful waters, astonishing landscapes and local culture. So, take your hiking shoes and go for walk to the top of the old volcano!
