Expect lots of cheering supporters as the boats leave Sines. The Ship then embarks on an ocean race across the North Atlantic and will arrive in Bermuda before 1st June, to join in the host port celebrations. Open to Windseekers of all ages, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Sines is a small Portugese city with a large port, famous for being the birthplace od Vasco da Gama. Formerly a fishing village, the town center retained its quiant atmosphere, despite fast-paced industrialisation. Today you can relax on ofe of the beautiful beaches or, if you feel like taking a walk, climp up to the XV-century castle and take in the beautiful vista.

Bermuda is a group of low-forming volcanoes in the North Atlantic Ocean, consisting of 181 islands. The first known European explorer to reach Bermuda was Spanish sea captain Juan de Bermúdez in 1503, after whom the islands are named. Bermuda's culture is a mix of Native American, Spanish-Caribbean, English, Irish, and Scots. It is a British Overseas Territory. Bermuda has a humid subtropical climate, pink sand beaches and clear, cerulean blue ocean water. Go snorkeling to see the coral reef.
