Ports

Digby is a small town in Nova Scotia, Canada, dating back to the second half of the 18th century. It has long maritime traditions, with many trade and fishing ships calling it home. Nowadays Digby is proud of its scallop fishing, it even holds an annual scallop festival! You can learn about the town’s history in the Admiral Digby Museum. If you’re more of an outdoorsy person visit the 200-years-old Prim Point Lighthouse or go hiking on the Balancing Rock trail.

Saint John is the only city on the Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick, Canada, situated at the mouth of Sain John river. It is a perfect starting point for many trips to admire the Canadian nature: the Irving Nature Park, Rockwood Park or the Reversing Falls, to name a few. You can also visit the Carleton Martello Tower or the New Brunswick Museum to learn more about the area. Finally take a walk at an indoor city market where you can taste local specialities and buy some handcrafted souvenirs.

Lunenburg is a Canadian port town in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. Historically the town was involved in several wars, including the American Revolution. Today the town is a fishery port and has several small shipyards that have managed to preserve the skills of the sailing era. Did you know that the replica of the ‘Bounty’ was built here? Visit the historic city centre on foot or by horse and carriage, and enjoy a leisurely hike in the grassy hills of the surrounding countryside.
