Coastal Explorer: a sailing taster. Try the life of a sailor without making a long commitment. Join the Oosterschelde for a short break from everyday life, and sail from the Netherlands to France. Step on board in Scheveningen, outisde of The Hague, and sail out, along the coast of Belgium, to Boulogne. Spend a few exciting days on board, learning to sail a traditional vessel, making new friends and enjoyng the time spent outdoors. IMPORTANT: Due to coronavirus the maximum number of people on board has to be reduced. You can only share a cabin with a family member, and never with a stranger. Are you traveling alone? In this case, you’ll have to book a single cabin. This journey is subject to special, more flexible COVID booking/cancellation conditions.

Scheveningen is a popular sea resort in the Netherlands, a stone’s throw away from the seat of government in The Hague. It has a busy marina and a lively (somewhat kitschy) promenade – great for an afternoon of sightseeing. You’ll also find plenty to do nearby. Go for a walk in the dune landscape or take a tour around the Palace of Peace. Visit Madurodam to see the Netherlands rebuilt in miniature, check out the city centre of The Hague, or explore the beach and perhaps even go kitesurfing.
