Honolulu, Hawaii (US) - Dutch Harbor, Alaska (US)

24 June - 21 July 2023

From Hawaii to Alaska over the Pacific Ocean. Starting with a tropical vibe, this 1-month voyage will head to a place that speaks to the imagination. Dutch Harbor, a place of fishery and boating, will be your entry port to Alaska. Although there are many miles to cover between Hawaii and Dutch Harbor, there will be plenty of time to explore some of the islands on both sides of the voyage. Starting with the Pacific islands, finishing off with the Aleutians islands off the Alaskan coast – you will not be bored! Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Honolulu is the capital of Hawaii - a stunning archipelago on the Pacific Ocean. It's located on the island Oahu. Stretch your sea legs by walking one of its many breath-taking nature trails, like the famous Diamon Head, or relax on a tropical beach. For a dose of history visit the Iolani Palace and don't miss the Bishop Museum, founded in 1889 to preserve the Hawaiian history and culture. Then stop in one of the many restaurants to try local dishes.

Dutch Harbor is a harbor in a city of Unalaska on Amaknak Island, Alaska. Its location in ice-free waters, sheltered from the Bering Sea and close to good fishing areas has made it an important area for years. The indigenous Aleut people have been living there for thousands of years. Surrounded by nature, Dutch Harbor is a great starting point of beautiful hiking trips. And if you like bird watching you're in for a treat with bald eagles and puffins who visit the fertile fishing areas nearby!
