Tecla:
Nuuk (GL) - Reykjavik (IS)

18 September - 04 October 2027

Set sail for the South of Greenland and then to Reykjavik. Starting from Greenland and setting sail toward Iceland, this voyage marks a true end-of-season crossing for Tecla. Life onboard settles into a steady pulse: standing watch beneath endless stars, sleeping deeply between shifts, and greeting each new day with the horizon as your only guide. Far from city lights, the night sky becomes a cathedral, with the brilliant Northern Lights above an open ocean, untouched by light pollution. Few experiences come close to witnessing such beauty from the deck of a sailing ship. Before venturing across the Denmark Strait, you will take time to find your sea legs along Greenland’s rugged west and south coasts. These waters offer sheltered fjords, quiet anchorages, and the chance to step ashore, hike, or simply breathe in the wild stillness of the Arctic. If winds are kind and you reach Iceland early, you may explore the islands and inlets of Breiðafjörður or slip into the fjords nearer Reykjavík – places shaped by ancient stories, seabirds, and soft evening light. This is a journey for those who wish to feel the world grow wide again – to sail between continents, guided by stars, weather, and wonder.
Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Nuuk is the capital of Greenland and, with over 17,000 inhabitants its largest city. The earliest settlements date back to 2200 BC. In the 10th century Nuuk was inhabited by the Vikings and shortly after by Innuit people. Visit the Greenland National Museum and Archives, Katuaq Cultural Centre, Nuuk Art Museum and the Cathedral, and enjoy strolling around town and taking in its unique architecture.

Reykjavík is the capital of Iceland. As you approach from the sea, you’ll sea a modern city skyline with snowy volcanic mountains in the background. Reykjavík is quite cosmopolitan, with plenty of culture and entertainment. Go for a night on the town, or find a tour that takes you to see the glaciers, geysers, and volcanoes for which Iceland is famous. Reykjavík’s climate is less cold than you’d expect. At Nauthólsvík you’ll even find a geothermically heated beach!
