From Denmark to Norway. Join Alexander von Humboldt II for the voyage from Aarhus in Denmark to Larvik. Steer the Ship, trim the sails and – if you want – climb up to the masts and see the world from up high. Official language on board is German. Ports

Aarhus is a port on the northeast coast of Jutland, Denmark. One of its main attractions is the open air museum Den Gamle By, where historical buildings from all over Denmark have been relocated. But the 13th century cathedral is also well worth a visit. Aarhus is a relaxed place with enough to see and do, and its city centre is a favourite with Tall Ship crews who visit the city regularly. West of the city you’ll find lakes and forests, perfect for a hike.

Larvik is a coastal town in the South of Norway, 2 hours south of Oslo by train. It’s a quiet town, and visitors normally only stay for a short time. Larvik Maritime museum allows visitors to learn about the sea-faring history of the Vestfold region, and the sailing legend Thor Heyerdahl. The nearby fjords are surrounded by peaks, perfect for hiking in the summer.
