Astrid:
Tallinn (EE) - Hamina (FI)

14 July - 20 July 2025

Join Astrid for a true adventure in the eastern Gulf of Finland. Step on board to explore the Finnish and Estonian archipelago, while immersing yourself in true sail training. Learn about sailing, navigation, life on board, and how to keep watch. Steer a ship and trim the sails, and become a true part of Astrid’s sailing family by participating in all activities on board, from cleaning to preparing meals.
You will sail every day and possibly anchor or moor alongside the rocks, heat up the sauna, swim, and adventure into the wild.
Sailing through an archipelago will put your new skills of sailing to the test like nowhere else in the world.
For all Windseekers aged 15+

Ports

Tallinn is a capital of Estonia, situated on the north coast of the country. It lies on the shore of Baltic Sea, in the Bay of Finland. When visiting, you must see the old town dating back to the medieval times and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Of course you can’t miss the Estonian Maritime Museum which depicts the country’s long maritime traditions. The Seaplane Harbour is a high tech museum which offers a very unique experience while climbing Kohtuotsa will provide you with a beautiful vista.

Hamina has long been a multi-cultural centre, where you could hear French, German, English, Swedish, Finnish, and Russian spoken on the streets. The city has a unique circular layout and was run by the merchants and the cadet school officers, playing a role in public life, culture, politics, and economy.

OTHER JOURNEYS YOU MIGHT LIKE

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
