Atlantic crossing from the Caribbean to Azores. Not in the mood for a long, cold winter? Then join the Eendracht for this wonderful adventure. Step on board in the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten, and set course towards the open ocean. Spend days sailing on the Atlantic, enjoying the feeling of being out in nature, seeing the stars without light pollution, observing marine wildlife and having a digital detox. Make new friends and learn how to sail a large schooner. Reach the Azores, a remote archipelago on the Atlantic, and port of call to many sailors crossing the ocean to Europe. These beautiful islands are famous for their amazing landscapes and abundance of wildlife. Open to Windseekers aged 15-80.

Ports

The Azores are a group of 9 islands in the Atlantic Ocean, west of the Iberian Peninsula, and an autonomous region of Portugal. Sailors and trainees can explore several ports, and many do as part of an Atlantic crossing - but the most famous is Horta, which has a large port and marina. For longer visits, tourists can venture up the numerous volcanic peaks, or try one of many outdoor activities such a whale watching or mountain biking.
