Eye of the Wind:
Dublin (IE) - Rotterdam (NL)

06 October - 16 October 2016

On this journey the Eye of the Wind will take you from Irish capital Dublin, through the English Channel, to Rotterdam. Enjoy the stopovers in southern England’s seaside towns on this last journey before the Eye of the Wind sails south for the winter.

Ports

Dublin is the capital and largest city of Ireland. It is located on the east coast, at the mouth of the River Liffey. Founded as a Viking settlement, the Kingdom of Dublin became Ireland’s main city. The city has many landmarks and monuments dating back hundreds of years that you can visit. Walk through one of the many parks Dublin offers; it has more green spaces per square kilometer than any other European capital city.

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle or on foot – or take a train to the nearby Hague.
