Eye of the Wind:
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ES) - Los Abrigos, Tenerife (ES)

21 January - 28 January 2017

This trip will take you between two beautiful Canary Islands: Gran Canaria and Tenerife. Enjoy your time on and off the ship, taking advantage of good winds and lots of sunshine! The sailing conditions are almost always perfect in this region, while the landscape provides for nice excursions. Swim in the ocean, relax on a beach and look hard for dolphins! Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a cosmopolitan town, the shared capital (with Santa Cruz) of the Canary Islands. Situated on the ‘wet’ north side, the city feels more authentic than the touristy places on the ‘dry’ south side. Las Palmas offers beaches, cheap shopping, culture and excitement with a night life, primarily in the district of Vegueta. Its culture is decidedly Spanish, mixed with influences from all over the world, as Las Palmas’ port has been in operation for centuries.

Los Abrigos is a small fishing village on the south coast of the island of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands archipelago. Unlike many party places in the islands, Los Abrigos is a hidden gem, a slice of real Tenerife, and not a tourist destination. Here you can visit local family restaurants and eat some fresh seafood, lunge back on a volcanic beach and take a stroll through authentic Canarian plaza before you sit down in one of the small cafes.
